Reverend Bruce Boling was born and raised in Esmont, Va. He is the youngest of four children born to Deaconess Anna and the late Deacon Frank Boling Sr.   He currently lives in Charlottesville Va. with his wife, Minister Joy Minor-Boling. Together, they have a blended family of four, Ben Minor, Tyrik Boling, Troy and Makiaya Brown.

He is a 1989 graduate of Albemarle High School and he attended Piedmont Va. Community College and Liberty University. He was the Valedictorian of New Life Community School of Ministry and Bible Institute and made the Dean's list while receiving his Associates degree in Religion in 2006. 

Reverend Boling is employed with the Boys & Girls Club of Central Va. for 17 years in the capacity of program aide, lead program staff, Unit Director, Associate Unit Director and now currently is a Mentorship Specialist. He also has worked for the Hampton Inn of Charlottesville for 18 years as a Customer Service Rep.  

Reverend Boling began his walk with the LORD around the age of 10 at the New Green Mountain Baptist Church in Esmont, Va. under the leadership of Pastor Rev. Dr. Horace Rice and at home under his parents. During his early years, he served on the usher board, sung on the Buds of Promise and rejoined the usher board before he accepted his call to the ministry. He was licensed (2009) and ordained (2012) under the leadership of Pastor Rev. Dr. Sylvester Turner. After being licensed, Rev. Boling would on occasion teach Bible study and Sunday School and when the LORD opened the door, would preach at various Churches near and far. He is still an associate minister at New Green Mountain under the pastorship of Rev. Sarad Davenport.

Reverend Boling loves to preach and teach GOD'S word. He loves to serve GOD'S people in the capacity that GOD has given him to serve. One of his favorite verses is Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts I think towards you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope".  Reverend Boling is looking forward in serving the people of Columbia Baptist, where it's his goal to lead them while being led by CHRIST.
