Free Hill Cemetery

 This cemetery is located on a hilltop behind Columbia Baptist Church, it is bounded on three sides by Tammany Street, Stage Junction Road, and St. James Street (Rt. 6). There are dozens of unmarked graves in this wooded area which is abandoned and overgrown. This was evidently an early cemetery for the town of Columbia, as well as for the free Black community.
